April is Global Service Month, and two single mothers will soon have new homes in Henderson thanks in part to nearly two dozen volunteers and a sizable grant from Bank of America.

Local Bank of America volunteers, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas, strengthened studs and assisted with other construction needs on two townhomes in the Pittman Neighborhood Build Project in Henderson. As Habitat's largest build to-date in Southern Nevada, the Pittman neighborhood will consist of 20 single family homes upon completion. Bank of America awarded a $200,000 Neighborhood Builders grant to support the construction of homes in the neighborhood.

Global Service Month is part of the bank’s overall commitment to giving back to the Las Vegas community.
