LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Nevada Day celebrates our state's birthday. Here is a list of events happening around Las Vegas to celebrate.

Cinema Learning Challenge
Cinema Learning Challenge and BIG & Digital, LLC are premiering public shows of inspirational films "Touch the Stars 3D," "Expedition Chesapeake a Journey of Discovery," and "In Saturn’s Rings" in the Sony Digital Cinema at Galaxy Theatres at Boulevard Mall on Nevada Day. Nevada Day is the first day the films are available for the public. Seven films are available for Groups and will be added for Public Shows on Tuesdays and Thursdays in November and December.

Clark County Wetlands Park
Clark County Wetlands Park is hosting some spooky fun and special hours on Nevada Day, Oct. 25, with its 6th annual “Haunt the Wetlands” events. The daytime “Spooktacular” will be held from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and includes crafts, storytelling, fortune telling, and exploring the Haunted Maze. Admission costs $1. The “Creatures of the Night” event will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and costs $5 for ages 4 and up. Admission for the nighttime event includes a glow necklace or flashlight for the kids. Activities include a night walk to discover the eerie side of nature, visits through the Haunted Maze, close encounters with live, creepy, crawly animals, and experiments in the Mad Scientist’s Laboratory. Participants also will get to test their night vision in the Room of Perpetual Night, if they dare.

Discovery Children's Museum
On Oct. 25 DISCOVERY Children’s Museum welcomes guests to celebrate Nevada Day. Throughout the day guests will enjoy a workshop dedicated to Nevada’s state insect and art inspired by the state. In addition, guests will learn how to pan for gold and silver and see how the presence of these metals have contributed to Nevada’s history.

Mob Museum
In celebration of Nevada Day, veteran historian and native Las Vegan Stan Paher will give a presentation on the city. Paher, author of “Las Vegas As It Began, As It Grew”, will present images depicting the Las Vegas Valley through the years. The public program will cover Las Vegas’ Mormon beginnings in the mid-1850s as a ranching settlement headed by O.D. Gass and Helen Stewart to the eras of railroad building, Hoover Dam construction and atomic testing. Paher will be available for a book signing following each presentation. There will be two sessions on Oct. 25 at 2 p.m. amd 4 p.m.

Monster Mini Golf
This Nevada Day celebrate at the Kiss themed mini golf located at the Rio Hotel, and the Twilight Zone by Monster Mini Golf at Bally’s Las Vegas. Both locations are offering a 4-pack of golf special for $18.64 (Nevada was founded in 1864).

Once Upon an Escape Room
On Nevada Day they're offering $3 off the immersive 60-minute fairy tale themed escape rooms (using CODE: OUAENEVADA when registering online). They are located at 5067 Arville Street. To reserve a room, call 702.331.0335. They are open 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. daily.

Valley of Fire State Park
Celebrate Nevada! Nevada Day is a statewide holiday that celebrates the history of “The Silver State.” Join a ranger at the visitor center for a talk on the history of Nevada on Oct. 25 at 2:30 p.m. People wanting to particiapte are asked to meet at the Valley of Fire Visitor Center.

Vegas Golden Knights
On Oct. 25, the Golden Knights will celebrate Nevada Day with a matinee game against the Avalanche at 3 p.m. PT. All fans in attendance will receive City of Las Vegas and City of Henderson patches upon entry. During warmups, the Vegas Golden Knights will debut specialty white jerseys which will be raffled off during the game with proceeds benefiting the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation. All proceeds from the 51/49 Raffle will benefit youth sports in Las Vegas.
