Local nonprofits from across the valley are teaming up to make sure kids have what they need during these hard times.
The Public Education Foundation "Spread the word Nevada" and communities of schools gave out bags for kids at Palace Station on Thursday.
The idea is to prevent children from falling behind academically while they're not in school.
