JW Marriott Resort & Spa Las Vegas and Rampart Casino host their second blood drive with Vitalant since re-opening earlier this summer.

Vitalant is looking for both blood donations, as well as convalescent plasma, which contains antibodies to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which can be given to patients currently fighting COVID-19. Together with the community’s support, we can save lives.

JW Marriott’s new health and safety partner, Intermountain Healthcare, will also be onsite during the drive.

The drive will take place on Aug. 30 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m in the Marquis Ballroom.

JW Marriott Las Vegas and Rampart Casino is located on 221 N. Rampart Blvd.

To be eligible for plasma donation, you must have had COVID-19 symptoms plus:

  • A prior laboratory diagnosis of COVID-19, either by a positive nasal/oral swab test OR a positive test for SARS-CoV-2 antibodies requested by your health care provider. Blood donors are NOT tested for coronavirus.
  • Complete resolution of symptoms for at least 28 days. Do not donate blood if you are sick.
  • All other donor eligibility for an automated plasma donation
  • COVID-19 survivors will need to apply on their website to become a convalescent plasma donor. Donors must be previously screened and scheduled. Donors cannot walk in for this procedure.

Donors are encouraged to keep social distancing recommendations by scheduling an appointment online to reserve a spot by visiting here.

Enter ‘RAMPART’ as the code and guests are able to sign up for this week’s blood and plasma drive as well as other upcoming drives.
