Ethel M Chocolates, the Nevada-based craft chocolate division of Mars Inc., is using Instagram and Facebook to spread positivity and joy during these challenging times for our local and national communities.

Throughout the months of March and April, the chocolate company is asking Instagram and Facebook followers to tag all selfless superheroes working for a hospital, pharmacy, trucking company, school, grocery store, restaurant, sanitation company or anywhere else that is keeping America moving.

Ethel M Chocolates will then randomly select 200 heroes to be thanked by sending them a special chocolate care package.

“We know it’s a small token of appreciation for the many sacrifices they are making right now, but we hope it will show them how much they are valued and offer a little comfort,” said Lisa Vannerson, Marketing and PR Manager at Ethel M Chocolates.

Additionally, from now until April 30 Ethel M Chocolates is partnering with Three Square Food Bank to donate $1 for every transaction made on their website.

“We are so thankful to come together with Ethel M Chocolates during these unprecedented times and offer a helping hand to those affected by COVID-19 in Southern Nevada,” said Michelle Beck, Chief Development Officer at Three Square Food Bank. “Every $1 provides 3 meals, so purchasing something sweet for you or your loved ones does something extra sweet for our community.”

Ethel M Chocolates are available for purchase only online at ethelm.com for the moment, as all retail stores and the cactus garden will remain closed temporarily to support efforts in containing COVID-19.
