Helldorado Days has been a Las Vegas staple for 83 years, and the Whiskerino Contest was there right from the beginning.
Hosted by the Las Vegas Elks Lodge, the facial hair competition helps raise money for local children's charities. Participants are encouraged to dress in Western, Pioneer, Cowboy, or 1880s period attire. Judges hand out awards based on the following categories:
- Longest Beard
- Wild West Beard
- Best Beard
- Longest Mustache
- Best Mustache
- Best Overall
