The Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) Las Vegas Annual Gala helped raise more than $1 million to support the well-being and educational programs for the soldiers of the Israel Defence Forces (IDF).
The money was raised by over 450 attendees from the Las Vegas community, along with a matching gift by Sheldon and Dr. Miriam Adelson.
Chairing the gala were FIDF National Board Members Dana and Michael Werner, with columnist Joel Mowbray presiding as the evening's master of ceremonies. The event also featured speeches from IDF soldiers and officers, along with special performances by the IDF Orchestra and singer Joanna Petri.
“This evening was an incredible opportunity for our supporters to meet and connect with some of the brave soldiers who benefit from FIDF programs,” said Dana Werner. “While they stand guard over the Jewish homeland – and protect Jews everywhere – it’s our job to do everything we can to support them.”
