Many tourist and locals use Labor Day Weekend in Las Vegas as an opportunity to wave goodbye to the summer. The clubs on the Las Vegas Strip know this and cater to that crowd by scheduling some of the best entertainers in the world.

Unfortunately, one entertainer that wasn't able to make the trip was Lil Wayne. Wayne was reportedly hospitalized in Chicago due to his ongoing battle with seizures and epilepsy.

TMZ had the initial report:

Multiple sources tell us Wayne was hospitalized Sunday in Chicago after he was found unconscious in his hotel room at the Westin on Michigan Avenue after suffering at least one seizure.

He was rushed to Northwestern Memorial, where we're told he suffered yet another seizure. Our sources say his team tried to have him discharged late Sunday afternoon so he could make it to his Vegas show.

However, doctors advised against the discharge, saying he should be grounded for a few days.

Wayne was scheduled to perform last night, Aug. 3, at Drai's Beachclub alongside Rae Sremmurd. Instead, his team has informed his fans that he is currently resting.

This is the second time Lil Wayne has canceled a show in Vegas due to a bout with seizures. In July 2016, Lil Wayne canceled a performance at TAO after his plane had to make an emergency landing after he suffered several seizures in the air.
