One woman is dead, and her sister is fortunate to be alive after police say they both suffered from severe neglect at the hands of their father.

52-year-old Roger Killam is facing charges in the death of his daughter, 25-year-old Tammara Killam, and severe harm to her twin sister, Brooke.

It was reported on June 21 at an RV trailer parking lot of Tropicana Express Hotel, located in Laughlin, Nevada.

According to the arrest report, the two woman had been left in an RV as punishment because they went through the belongings of Roger's girlfriend, Shannen Oulicky.

The RV did not have running water or power. Brooke told police that she and her sister were given bread and water for a week, and she hadn't showered in weeks.

Investigators say both sisters are autistic, and Brooke appeared to be of diminished mental capacity.

According to a statement given to the police by Roger, he told them that he takes good care of his daughters, and they knew how to dial 911 in case of an emergency. However, Brooke told police that her sister was passed out on the RV floor and had no minutes on her phone to call for help.

Roger rented a room at a neighboring hotel because he said that he and his girlfriend wanted some privacy.
