A woman says her tire and rim were destroyed by a pothole on a busy road, and says several others shared a similar fate.
"There was this gaping pothole in the road, and all of a sudden my car hit it and you heard my front left side tire blow out," Haillee Tippetts said.
Tippetts pulled off to the side of Windmill Lane near Paradise Road Sunday and found not only was her tire flat, but the rim was bent as well.
“So far if I get a used tire, $75 plus the rim," Tippetts said of the repair cost.
She says she wasn't the only one.
"As I pull around here you find three or four more cars. They are just, all their tires are popped," Tippetts said.
Tippetts started recording video of the damaged cars as everyone worked to replace their tires.
"The police came and coned it off and it looks like they tried to fix it," Tippetts said.
Tippetts is worried the patch will not hold and the problem will return.
"Especially on this street, there always so many potholes. That one seemed to be the worst so far," Tippetts said.
Crews did manage to patch the pothole in less than 24 hours, and it was smooth said sailing for drivers in the area Monday.
