A video is making its rounds on Facebook showing a motorcyclist driving down the Las Vegas Strip being chased by police.

The video lasts about three minutes while police on motorcycles try to stop a man in a striped T-shirt. The man ends up getting away.

As of last check, the video had more than 8,000 views with more than 200 likes.

Police said they were aware of the video and investigating.

"Post at your own risk, because that's an investigative tool we can utilize," said Officer Larry Hadfield with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

As for how he got away, LVMPD said they don't chase people for simple traffic violations to avoid putting anyone else in danger.

"Your reckless actions, you're going to cause that accident and the motorcyclist will almost certainly lose that battle," Hadfield said.

This video shows the stigmas that many motorcycle clubs across the valley don't want.

"Unfortunately, there is going to be somebody that sees that and turns around and says 'hey, I'm going to try that, too, but they're probably not going to fare as well," said Chris Ashby, chairman of the Southern Nevada Confederation of Clubs.
