A Nevada legislative committee is set to discuss a victims' rights bill called Marsy's Law.
If approved, one of the things it would do is make sure domestic violence victims know if their alleged attacker was being released on bail.
Marsy's Law would also give victims the right to information that can help them in their case, the right to speak in court if they want to and the right to know when public proceedings are happening.
The legislative committee needs to approve the amendment before it can appear on the 2018 ballot.
