A vehicle, along with the trailer and boat it was hauling, caught fire Tuesday afternoon at Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
National Park Service units responded to a fire at Callville Bay on Lake Mead around 12:30 p.m. The ramp was expected to remain closed for launch and retrieval until around 6 p.m.
Rangers and fire fighters responded to the scene and found a Dodge pickup truck, 27-foot vessel and trailer engulfed in flames on the launch ramp.
Two people received minor injuries and refused emergency care.
The fire was under control around 2:30 p.m. The courtesy dock near the ramp received considerable damage and is being pulled from the water for assessment.
Maintenance crews will move a temporary dock to the launch area while the damaged one is being repaired.
