Rain sets record in Las Vegas

The rain is back in Las Vegas.

The rainfall Saturday made for the rainiest April 30 in Las Vegas on record. This month has also been the 2nd wettest April ever with 2.26 inches. The wettest April on record is 1965 where Las Vegas got 2.44 inches of rain.

Residents on the west side of Las Valley experienced rain for hours.

A flood advisory was issued Saturday morning and later expired. A new flood advisory was issued around 4:35 p.m. and includes the Las Vegas valley through 6:30 p.m.

In addition to the rain, there is a chill in the air and quite windy. The high temperature for Saturday is only expected to reach the mid 60s.
