LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — UNLV is one step closer to completing its new school of medicine.
This morning, they kicked off a 12-hour concrete pour for a 135,000-square-foot building.
The new building will allow the school to double its class size.
Leading the project is the nonprofit Nevada Health and Bio-science Corporation.
The builders say the majority of the cost for the new building comes from more than $150 million in private donations.
Groundbreaking was in October and the project should take about 20 months to complete.
