Teen killed after semi rear-ends car on US 95

A 15-year-old boy from Pahrump died in a crash near Searchlight Friday evening.

Delonae Booth died in the crash involving a Chevrolet Cavalier and a semi-truck on U.S. 95 near Mile Marker 31 around 7:30 p.m. Nevada Highway Patrol said the semi-truck rear-ended the Cavalier, which then rotated clockwise before stopping in the center dirt median.

The 55-year-old female driver of the Cavalier was taken by ambulance to St. Rose Dominican, Siena Campus, in serious condition. She was from Pahrump. The front passenger, a 69-year-old Henderson man was flown by air ambulance to University Medical Center in critical condition.

The 65-year-old male driver, from Spokane, Wash., of the semi was not injured.

This was the Nevada Highway Patrol-Southern Command's 57th fatal crash in 2015, resulting in 63 total deaths.
