The North Las Vegas Fire Department says a Republic Services truck had a small fire in the back of the truck where trash is collected.
The fire was causing a lot of smoke at around 4:42 p.m. on Friday in front of the plant located at 1 West Cheyenne Avenue near North 5th Street.
One engine was sent to extinguish the fire.
The truck stopped outside the building and there was no extension to the building.
