A possible Halloween prank turned into a serious crime when the egg throwing ended up doing thousands of dollars in damage.

It happened in a neighborhood near Alta Drive and the 215 beltway.

Logan Miller caught the crime on his girlfriend's surveillance system.

It shows people in what appears to be a Jeep, slowing down in front of the driveway, and throwing eggs.

Miller believes nearly 24 eggs were thrown at his BMW, his girlfriend's garage, roof, and brand new windows.

When the egg throwing started, Miller was actually sitting in his car still!

"We were just like, what's happening to us? Are we getting attacked or something? Is this The Purge? It's close to Halloween, what is going on?!," Miller asked.

It cost Miller $6,000 to fix the paint on his car.

The brand-new $20,000 windows have not been fixed yet and that damage amount is not clear.

Miller filed a police report and is working with a detective to catch the person or persons who did this.
