The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

4:15 P.M.
The man who was reported missing earlier in the day, 71-year-old William Banfield Jr., has been located and is safe.

4 P.M.
Fong Elementary school located at 2200 James Bilbray Dr is currently on Lock down. Las Vegas police attempted to stop a vehicle in the area when the driver got out and ran. They are doing a search for the person and have set up a perimeter. Per police they don't believe the person is armed.

2:36 P.M.
Clark County Fire Department responded to a fire at 3548 Arcata Point Avenue near Valley View Boulevard. Upon arrival, CCFD says smoke and flames were coming from garage and threatening home. They knocked the bulk of the fire down by 2:45 p.m. No report of injuries. Cause unknown at this time.

9:55 A.M.
North Las Vegas police are looking for a 71-year-old man with early stages of dementia who has been missing since around noon on Monday, authorities say. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 702-633-9111.

The police department wrote on Twitter:

Have you seen me? 71 year-old William Banfield Jr. hasn't been seen since the 17th around noon. He was last seen at 770 W. Lone Mountain, Banfield has early stages of dementia and is not able to find his way back. LSW blue pajama pants, black t shirt. Contact NLVPD at 633-9111.

9:10 A.M.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue are on the scene of a fire at 2417 Howard Drive near East Oakey Drive. Firefighters encountered heavy fire and smoke upon arrival. Fire is knocked down. No injuries reported at this time.

1:15 A.M.
Henderson Police say that a 19-year-old male was shot early this morning in the 2000 block of Waverly Circle near Warm Springs Road and North Green Valley Parkway. The male was transported to Sunrise Hospital. The shooter has not been arrested. Police believe that the shooter and victim knew each other.
