This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for September 4, 2017.

9:30 P.M.

Las Vegas police say that a metro patrol vehicle was stuck at West Craig Road and Rancho Drive when a driver failed to make a turn and collided with the patrol car. One officer had a minor injury and a passenger complained of neck pain. 

4:30 P.M.

Traffic is backed up for 9 miles on Interstate 15 headed into California. Travelers should expect long traffic delays

1 P.M.

The interstate was briefly shut down after a woman threatened to jump from the Hacienda bridge. Police were able to stop her and the interstate is now open.

12:30 P.M.

Las Vegas has asked for the public's help in locating an endangered missing man. His name is Jesse Gonzalez. READ MORE.

12: 07 P.M.

The I-15 was closed in both directions due to a woman dangling from the Hacienda overpass and threatening to jump.

Officers have since been able to talk her down from the overpass and take her into custody. The highway was reopened around 1 p.m.

8:45 A.M.

North Las Vegas police say that the man who was attacked this morning is 34 years old. He was at a residence on Verde Way when he got into a fight with another man. He is currently in surgery at UMC. No one has been arrested at this time. Police are interviewing multiple witnesses who were at the residence during the fight.

6:30 A.M.

North Las Vegas police are reporting that a man was attacked near the area of Lone Mountain Road and Allen Lane.

The man has been transported to University Medical Center is in critical condition.

2:30 A.M.

A fire tore through a home at 3969 Philomena Steet, near Cheyenne and Hualapai around 2:30 this morning. No one was hurt.

 

OVERNIGHT

Las Vegas police are searching for a suspect after a stabbing occurred on the Las Vegas Strip overnight.

An adult male victim and a heavy set male suspect in his 30's bumped into each other while walking near the Treasure Island Hotel-Casino. A brief argument ensued and the suspect stabbed the victim in the stomach.

The victim was transported to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
