Man without life jacket found dead in water at Lake Mead

Another drowning is being reported at Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

The Lake Mead Interagency Communication Center received a call at 4:40 p.m. Saturday about a man who didn't surface while swimming in open water near Sand Island.

The victim was recovered from the water on Sept. 2. The man was not wearing a life jacket.

The Clark County coroner will release the name of the man after relatives have been notified.
