Teen possibly hit by celebratory gunfire

Posted

Las Vegas police say that a teenager was injured after someone shot into a house located in the 2000 block of Raspberry Hill Road near Sloan Lane and Sahara Avenue shortly after midnight.

It was not known initially how badly the teen was injured. Since then, the police have told us that the teen is expected to recover.

Neighbors tell us the area is pretty quiet, and people tend to keep to themselves, but some say that is the problem.

"Nobody wants to take care of their neighborhood first. Clean up their own neighborhood first.....Individuals got to do it. Got to start with the neighborhood. That's what I tell my kids. Got to start with you first," Pepper Goldsworthy said.

Police believe that the teen may have been hit by celebratory gunfire. At this time, no one has been arrested. The shooting is still under investigation.
