In 2015, Matt Stonie ate 241 Hooters world-famous chicken wings in 10 minutes, outperforming Joey Chestnut's 200 wing tally to end his three-year reign as Hooters champ.
Chestnut also recently beat Stonie in the July 4 hot dog eating contest, polishing off 17 more dogs than Stonie.
The fifth annual Hooters worldwide wing-eating championship is officially sanctioned by major league eating and starts at 8 p.m. at the Palms poolside.
