Henderson police are investigating a home invasion robbery that occurred Wednesday morning where the 72-year-old homeowner was tied up and the home ransacked.

Two male suspects entered the home on Garden City Avenue in Sun City Anthem, near Sun City Anthem Drive and Olivia Heights Avenue about 2:15 a.m. The suspects brandished a firearm, demanding valuables, according to police.

The suspects tied up the female homeowner and made off with cash and jewelry from the home. The victim had minor injuries.

Neighbors who live on the block say they're taken aback by the news because they don't see much crime in their community.

"We don't have that too much here," said Joe Stringfellow, a neighbor. "I can't remember anything like that, but you know, it happens and it's a shame."

Detectives are continuing to follow up on leads. Police said the suspects were only described as male.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
