Temperatures dropped to the upper 50s in Las Vegas this morning for the first time since the spring. Grab a jacket or sweatshirt as you leave the house early today!

At McCarran Airport (where the Las Vegas weather records are kept) it was 59° at 5 a.m. and that's as cold as it's been since May 3 when we were at 55°.

Interestingly enough, the average low temperature on October 9 is 61°, so it's not that much colder than it typically would be this time of year.

The record low temperature today is 41° from 1949, and we don't see temperatures getting that cold anytime soon.

The forecast calls for temperatures to drop to the low 60s the next couple of nights, but upper 50s will return by the weekend.
