A fire involving a truck slowed down traffic on U.S. 95 South near Decatur Boulevard.
It was reported around 4 p.m. on Thursday.
Nevada Highway Patrol says that a garbage truck dumped their load onto the freeway to avoid the truck catching fire, after the driver noticed heavy smoke coming from the truck.
The freeway was temporarily closed in the area while crews put the fire out.
There were no reported injuries.
