Former Nevada Lt. Gov. Lonnie Hammargren is selling one of his homes.

In his own words, he "ran out of money."

The home is located near South Sandhill Road and East Flamingo Road. Inside, there are hundreds of items Hammargren has collected over his lifetime.

"I worked hard and spent it all and I don't regret it," said Hammargren.

The bidding has been going on for about a week online. On Friday, people can come to the home and look at the items, but only if they're registered bidders.

"We're standing here in the shadow of Liberace's staircase that Liberace went up and down every day of his life. We are standing in history," said Patrick McManus of McManus Auctions, the company leading the liquidation sale.

Some of the items are going for thousands of dollars. A few pieces come with stipulations that say the buyer must be able to remove and transport their purchase themselves.

"These are all the fun things that I collected and were fun for me along the way, and I shared it with other people," said Hammargren.

Bidding for most items will end Saturday.
