A vacant house caught fire in the southwest part of the valley Monday morning.
Clark County firefighters responded to a fire around 4:40 a.m. in the 8900 block of Inspiration Drive, near Pebble Road and Rainbow Boulevard. A driver on nearby Blue Diamond Road reported the fire to officials.
Upon arrival, crews saw light smoke from the boarded up structure. After forcing entry, firefighters found a small fire in the middle of the house that was extinguished in about 3 minutes.
There were no reported injuries and damage to the structure was minimal.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
