The Clark County coroner confirmed that 54-year-old Rick Van Thiel is deceased. He was found hanging at the Clark County Detention Center around 11 p.m. Friday. The coroner says it was suicide.

Thiel was accused of threatening lives by performing medical procedures without a license. "Dr. Rick" was eventually indicted on more than two dozen charges, including sexual assault and child abuse.
