Investigators are trying to piece together exactly what caused an apartment building to go up in flames, displacing twenty people and injuring two others Saturday.
Clark County Fire Rescue responded to reports of a fire inside the Hesperian Falls. Crews say the fire started in a first floor apartment but quickly spread to a second floor.
Eight apartments in total have been impacted.
One frustrated neighbor saw the fire right outside his apartment, and says no fire alarm went off at the time.
“I feel unsafe here,” says Cesar Sanchez. “They should have these smoke detectors working properly..because they did not work properly and it took them that long to get here”
The American Red Cross is helping twelve adults and eight children who were displaced by the fire.
Two people were injured in the fire. No word yet on their condition.
