A person died while visiting Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area on Sunday.
According to Las Vegas police, the death appears to have been the result of a medical episode. It was not the result of a fall.
A call for help was received at 12:01 p.m. Sunday and the body was recovered at 1:30 p.m. by helicopter. The fatal incident took place on the Sandstone Quarry Trail, according to police.
The man was identified as 47-year-old Ravi Dayal of Las Vegas. His cause of death is pending.
