UPDATE: Coroner names hiker who fell to his death at Red Rock Canyon

UPDATE NOV. 21: 20-year-old Isaac Franklin Yeier identified by the coroner as the man who fell to his death while hiking at Red Rock Canyon.

ORIGINAL STORY: One man is dead after falling in a climbing area at Red Rock Canyon on Saturday.

A citizen called emergency crews around 11:28 a.m. after witnessing the man fall off a cliff about 300 yards from a nearby parking lot.

First responders hiked up the trailhead and located the man around 12:15 p.m. He was deceased.

Search and Rescue units will extract the body and airlift it to the Clark County Deputy Coroner at the Red Rock Overlook.

The Overlook will be shut down by Bureau of Land Management Rangers while recovery efforts are being handled.
