On Aug. 3, 2016, Las Vegas police responded to a residence located in the 10000 block of White Mulberry Drive to investigate a report of an unresponsive infant.
After the child had been taken to the hospital, medical personnel noticed injuries that were potentially caused by abuse. The baby died from his injuries on August 5, 2016. He was identified as 5-month-old Henry Martinez of Las Vegas.
An investigation revealed that the child's father, 33-year-old Assuan Martinez, was a likely suspect. He surrendered to the court on May 3, 2017, and was booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
