NORTH LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — North Las Vegas Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred at about 11:15 a.m. in the 6600 block of Giant Oak Street, near Clayton Street and Centennial Parkway.
The 31-year-old son of the victim was pointed out on the scene by a witness and then taken into custody according to police.
Officers went to the home after a report of a shooting where they located a 64-year-old female victim who was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Officers say they began to provide medical aid on the scene. The woman was then transported to the hospital where she died from her injuries.
