Life is Beautiful has been unusually cold this year.
Temperatures have been in the mid-70s during the day and low 60s in the evening. It's not freezing, per se. But for those in typical festival garb – i.e. clothes designed for the high 90s we got earlier this week – it's been a battle to stay warm.
Perhaps the most telltale signs were the coffee sales. The moment the temperatures dipped into the 60s, lines began to stretch around the food stations, even when big-name bands like Cage the Elephant took the stage.
And there was no guarantee that visitors would get a warm cup of joe. Grouchy John's employee Cody Angelo said that they're supposed to be stocked until 1 a.m. every night, but they completely ran out of supplies at 11:30 p.m. Friday and 10 p.m. Saturday.
"We fill up as much as we can, we really do," said Angelo. "We just get sucked out dry. Like a vampire."
Tonight is supposed to be the warmest night of the festival, though not by much.
For those that plan on staying late, either bring a sweater or make sure to jump in the coffee line early.
