Sheriff's officials say they found a body in the waters of a fish pond in a Carson City park.
Sheriff Ken Furlong says the body was reported a little before 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Bailey's Pond, which is located in the city-maintained Fuji Park. Furlong says a fisherman who arrived at the pond to go fishing saw what appeared to be an older man face down in the water.
Authorities say they planned to remove the body and take it to the Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy. The identity of the person who died has not been released.
