Over 30 people are left without a place to stay after an overnight apartment fire near Maryland Parkway and Vegas Valley Drive.
17 children and 19 adults and two handicapped individuals were affected by this fire. It happened around 2 a.m.
Southwest Gas and Nevada Energy were notified to address utilities and investigators are determining the cause.
The estimates of damage are not complete. No injuries were reported.

Residents say the fire is likely due to squatters. Firefighters are continuing to investigate.
